R-DS is a Shanghai-based Architectural Design Practice founded in 2012 – London, UK. The Studio has a commitment to design excellence through explorations in the fields of architecture, art and design, merging technical innovation with a unique methodological approach across programs and scales. The combination of research with practical inventiveness is at the heart of our practice. Founded on theoretical stand that looks at material manipulations as a rich source of design novelty, or team focuses on applying imaginative and collaborative design processes to specific design demands. The studio provides services in architecture, urban planning, landscape and interior design. Arturo Revilla holds a carrier in design that spans for more than 15 years including collaborations with Zaha Hadid Architects, Heatherwick Studio and UNStudio. AR-S has participated in top academic circles worldwide. We are currently looking enthusiastic designers to participate in a series of competitions and design commissions in Mexico and China, as well as collaborators in research oriented projects.
Arturo Revilla is a creative and self-motivated Architect with more than 20 years of experience in top award-wining architectural firms _ Shanghai, London and Mexico. Throughout his carrier, Arturo has been exposed to a wide range of complex private and public assignments including mixed-use, cultural, office, educational and retail facilities. his work experience include; Zaha Hadid Architects, UNStudio, Hassell Studio and Heatherwick Studio. Arturo holds a Ph.D. in Architectural Design by the AA in London and has widely participated in top academic design circles including the Architectural Association, The Bartlett School of Architecture, Chelsea College of Art, The University of Houston, The University of Kent, The University of Sheffield and The University Torcuato Ditella in Buenos Aires. Throughout his journey, Arturo has gained excellent insides into the implementation of design strategies to realize complex projects in multipart settings worldwide.
As an artist Arturo has explore the issue of repetition from within the medium of the drawing. He has presented his work in, Shanghai, Korea and Mexico.
